the music of his boy elroy began in the mind of tim holt in 1995.

intrigued by the underground electronic sounds of artists such as moby, tim started sequencing on an old korg keyboard. convinced he and a friend were going to start a techno band, they christened themselves "his boy elroy" and proceeded to experiment with crazy sounds and wacky beats.

his friend left to pursue a culinary career, but in 1998, his boy elroy pressed on.

with an nsoul records release, the track "chrystalis" hit the electronic music scene to rave reviews. a highly regarded 6-song ep followed.

leaving behind the creative sanctuary of college to get a "real job" tim was forced to put his boy elroy on hold for a couple of years.
